Saddam Gets the Rope

The former Iraqi dictator was sentenced to death for the massacre of 148 Shia men and teenage boys in the town of Dujail in 1982 according to this piece in Sky News. Saddam had these men murdered after a failed assassination attempt in order to send a message to those who would oppose him.

Celebratory gunfire erupted throughout Baghdad, though you’ll probably never hear that on CNN.

Now we can move forward with his other trials, for genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. In the meantime, how long do you think it will take for fringe nuts like Spicoli and company to move into high gear in protest against Saddam Hussein’s death sentence?
